Mosiah 29:26 Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law—to do your business by the voice of the people.
27 And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgments of God will come upon you…
We have done our business by the voice of the people, but I am not convinced that the voice of the people chose righteousness...we shall see.

That scripture fits pretty well to our present situation. Actually it seems as if the judgements are upon us already from earlier iniquities.
This week's RS lesson on the second coming and the millenium had a quote that nailed it.
"It has been the design of Jehovah, from the commencement of the world, and is His purpose now, to regulate the affairs of the world in His own time, to stand as a head of the universe and take the reins of government in His own hand. When that is done, judgment will be administered in righteousness; anarchy and confusion will be destroyed, and 'nations will learn war no more.' That Jesus will be a resident on the earth a thousand years with the Saints is not the case, but will reign over the Saints and come down and instruct, as he did the five hundred brethren, and those of the first resurrection will also reign with him over the Saints."
Our world is in such turmoil and the best thing we can do is hold strong to the gospel and our families. Good thing we have each other!
